Belianska cave is the only cave in the High Tatras. It is one of the most visited in Slovakia. This cave is located above Tatranska Kotlina on the slope of Belianska Tatras. Diggers knew how to enter this cave in the XVIII century as they have left inscriptions of their names on the walls. This cave was one of the first electrified caves in Europe.
To reach the entrance you need to take a sinuous road from Tatranska Kotlina. There is a bus stop and two parking there. It will take about 30 minutes to reach the cave.
Cave examination takes about 70 minutes. The route is 1370 meters length. The temperature in the cave fluctuates from 5 to 6.3 degrees Celsium. The height difference is 168 meters.
You can admire stalagmites, agglomeration waterfalls, multiple lakes and stalagmites pagodas in the cave. During the tour, you will make a stop in a Music hall space, named like this due to the water drops falling into the lake. Due to its perfect acoustic features, this space is used for classical music concerts.
