Erdődyho palác

Hungarian Erdody family was first mentioned in 1496. They had several palaces on the territory of modern Slovakia. One of them was built in 1770 and it decorates Venturska street in the historical part of Bratislava. Juraj Leopol Erdody had to purchase a significant piece of land and ruin four nearby houses to start construction works there. The latest reconstruction works conducted here in 2003. There are several cafes and restaurants currently in the halls were classic music sounded during the times, when the palace was owned by Hungarian nobles. You can find a great wine shop here – one of the biggest in Slovakia. There are around 400 types of wine that are stored in the cold basement of the palace. Close to the basement, there is a night club Trafo Music bar, which is famous for its 15 meters bar.
