Pharmaceutical Museum

Pharmaceutical Museum

This museum is located in the baroque building on Michalska street. Here the oldest pharmacy in Bratislava opened its doors in the XVI century. The name of the pharmacy was “At red’s lobster”. Today you can find the exposition of the museum in the very same building. The old walls are decorated with oak closets. Glass test tubes are on the shelves. They were actively used by the pharmacologists of the XVI-XIX centuries. The authentic tables still hold devices to store healing elements.

There are three rooms in the museum. They include Empire furniture and different containers where there are various size balances, equipment to produce medicines, cash registers, and medical books. The atmosphere is supported by various pictures of healing diseased people.

The museum is not large, it will take around 30 minutes to see it. You can’t make a video or take photos inside.
