Transport museum

Múzeum dopravy Bratislava

This museum is located in an old building of the former railway station of Bratislava where trains from Vienna, Berlin, and Budapest stopped in the XIX century. Today you can see a rich collection of Transport Museum (Muzeum dopravy Bratislava) here. A part of the exposition is open-air. There is nothing surprising here as it is difficult to find a space to host retro trains, locomotives, freight trains, railcars, and repairing equipment.

In the spacy closed hangars, you can see the representatives of the European train industry of the XX century. There are some rare items here – old baby carriages, a wooden bicycle, and a metallic bridge made of construction kit details. The amateurs of military equipment will also be pleased to visit the museum as they can see here motorcycles, vehicles, and a self-propelled mine. All the items are painted in khaki. The exhibition includes photos and gloomy decorations.
